In Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Dagny Taggart asks Hank Rearden, “What good is a railroad without motive power?”, to which Rearden responds, “What good is anything without motive power?”. But it isn’t just about motive power. For so many, there is nothing that, excuse the pun, “moves them” about motive power, but emotive power? The emotions that move us? They are different for all of us, but they are what make our lives special. This blog will look at the automobile industry. With a particular focus on buying and driving cars, and a bit of extra focus on the luxury brands, no topic automotive will be out of bounds. I think the auto industry is fascinating, and it can be a lot of fun.  Even going car shopping, pop opinion not withstanding. So this is my “new ride”. Hope you’ll come along with me.
